How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima EXO system, outfitted today with the GearLocker, GearWarrior, and TopShelf on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. Adding a cargo carrier system to the back of your Equinox is gonna help solve the problem of having limited space, which I'm pretty sure as an Equinox owner you're aware of. This is gonna allow you to get those bigger, bulkier items out on the road with you. So if you set up the EXO system with the GearLocker and the GearWarrior, you can have a covered storage system as well as a rack to get those things like coolers and firewood out on your journey. To open the EXO system, we're gonna twist this knob that's back here. (knob clanking) Just thread it in, and then we're gonna press almost out. more

Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we have the REESE Cargo Carrier. This is gonna be a 24-inch by 60-inch carrier and we're gonna take a look at how it fits here on our 2023 Chevrolet Equinox. This is a steel cargo basket with a 500-pound evenly distributed weight capacity, which means that you can carry a lot of things with this basket, expands your cargo space on your Equinox. Ideal for if you want to carry cargo that might be a little dirty, sandy or messy and you don't want it messing up the interior of your vehicle or if you wanna make it easier to lift up into the basket versus having to lift it into your hatch. This is actually a pretty good fit with the Equinox because it does have a little bit of a rise, and since you don't have much ground clearance with this vehicle, this is gonna help you out. Hi, Matt with etrailer and today when we talk about the Yakima Swing Away EXO system on a 2023 Chevrolet Blazer. Now this gonna be a great option for you if you're looking for something that's gonna help you store a lot more items on your vehicle since we are gonna limited on space back here. And if you don't wanna put anything on top of your roof 'cause it can be a little bit of a hassle to reach up there and grab, this is gonna be a great way to store any of that stuff. And it's also gonna be great for you if you're going out camping since this can swing away, allowing you a lot of hatch access for extended periods of time. Now taking a closer look at the top section we have here, we're gonna have the Gear Warrior Cargo carrier on top and that's gonna be a great option for you for any of those larger items that you don't mind getting wet. Now if you do put anything up here, I do recommend strapping them down so they you don't fly off and it's gonna have a lot of great tie-down points on it. more

Right away we take a look, we have a nice aluminum cargo basket here and what that's gonna do, you know, we start getting our seats up, we start piling a lot of stuff in the back, road trips become excessive, we need a little extra room, the kids need a little extra room to breathe, we're gonna actually store our cargo in the back of our vehicle and that's going to be quite nice. Now this is made of a lightweight aluminum, that's gonna make it really nice and easy to install, very low weight. However, it's also gonna have a nice 500-pound capacity rating so you're not actually risking any of your weight capacity by going for the lightweight model. Now, with any hitch-mounted accessory, we are gonna add some length to our vehicle. more

etrailer Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Clayton: Hey everyone, Clayton here at etrailer.com, and today we'll be taking a look at the etrailer Aluminum Cargo Carrier for our 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500. You might be asking yourself, why do I need a cargo carrier if I have a truck A lot of times, coolers and other things will take up a lot of room and we can get those out of our bed and onto our cargo carrier. And if we're using something tall, and we have a tonneau cover, we can put it back here and it'll go higher than it will if we had a tonneau cover. Although this cargo carrier is made out of aluminum, it still has a nice 500 pound weight capacity, so that's going to be plenty of weight to get anything we might want to take with us on the back of our truck. One thing I like about this cargo carrier is the shape of all of our support beams, it's really easy to get a tie down strap around and secure any of our luggage.Our cargo carrier, the actual usable space, is going to be 58 inches long, 20 and a half inches wide, and six inches deep. Another measurement you want to keep in mind is a measurement from the ground to the back of our cargo carrier. more

Reese 24x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2019 Chevrolet Blazer- Video
Jacob with etrailer here looking at the Reese Steel Cargo Carrier. It's a static carrier on our 2019 Chevrolet Blazer.It's going to be a pretty robust carrier. It's not going to have any folding or tilt down features to be able to reach for more accessibility than our hatch or whatnot. So, it's going to be static, and it will not come with a pin and clip, a hitch pin and clip, or a anti-rattle bolt, so we'll have to pick those up. But other than that, let's take a look at some of the features that this cargo carrier is going to provide for our vehicle.Seems very nice on our Blazer here because we are working with two exhausts. If we're going to have anything that's heat or carbon dioxide sensitive, it's going to be really nice to just send it in the middle here, but also, there's definitely other better configurations that you can figure out. more

Today at etrailer here, looking at the Curt Cargo Carrier for our 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe.This is a very sturdy and dense cargo carrier. It's going to have complete steel components that is going to allow you up to 500 pounds of carrying capacity. It does have folding functionality, which is very nice when you're not using it. It doesn't fold this way in the briefcase style, but it's okay. That's mostly for when you're not using it, but we can get into that. It's got some finer points that we can get into. more

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on 2013 Chevrolet Silverado we're going to be taking a look at the Maxxtow Cargo Carrier With Ramp, part number MT70100. Now this cargo carrier's going to be perfect for carrying a lawn mower, a scooter, or pretty much anything that has wheels that we may need to carry on the back of our truck. Now the way we're going to fold our ramp down is if we come to the side here, we're going to have a pin and clip on each end. Now if we remove the clip we can go ahead and push the pin out and remove it, and we can remove the other side as well. Once we have both removed we can lower the ramp down, allowing us to load up any of our gear. Now our cargo carrier is going to add quite a bit to the back of our truck, so there are a few measurements I'd like to give you. Our ramp for example is going to come in at roughly, right about 40". more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2018 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Equinox we're going to be taking a look at the Curt 24 x 60 Cargo Carrier, part number C18152. This cargo carrier is going to be great whether we just need to free up some space in our vehicle for a few more passengers and pets, or if we just went camping and have some dirty, wet gear that we don't want to put inside. Our cargo carrier does feature some reflectors on the back, that way other drivers will know that we have a carrier, and we have gear behind us.Now the walls inside of our cargo carrier are going to come in just at under 6", and as you can see we're going to have plenty of points for tie downs, that way we can secure our gear. Now the floor is made of a steel mesh, so it's going to be that easy to clean, and also very durable. Now there's a few measurements I'd like to give you. Overall from the outside edge of our bumper, it's going to come out to be about 31-1/2" that we're going to be adding to the total length of our vehicle. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Malibu we're going to be taking a look at the Curt 20 x 48 Cargo Carrier, part number C18110. Now these cargo carriers are going to be great for freeing up space in your vehicle for passengers or pets, or maybe just getting all your dirty, keeping it outside, and not dirtying up the interior of your car. Now our cargo carrier's made out of a strong, durable steel construction and it has a nice black powder coat finish so it's going to resist rust and corrosion. Now all along the edge here we're going to have multiple tie-down points so we're going to always have somewhere to secure our gear when we're ready to tie it down. I'd like to give you a few measurements just so we know how much we're actually going to be adding to the length of our vehicle. Now from the most outer edge of our bumper this is going to come right about to 25". Now the closest point to our vehicle, it's going to be just a little bit under 6" right here. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe, were going to be test fitting the 20 x 47 Aluminum Cargo Carrier from Maxxtow. It is designed for use in 2 inch hitches and it offers a 500 pound weight capacity. Its part number is MT70108. To begin our test fit well slide shank of the carrier directly into the receiver tube of our hitch. Curt Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe, we're going to be test fitting the 24 by 60 Curt Folding Cargo Carrier. It's designed for use in 2 inch hitches and it offers a 500 pound weight capacity. It's part number is C18153. To begin our test fit, we need to slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we slide it in, we'll want to watch through the window here, to see when our two holes line up. With our holes lined up, we're going to take a standard pin and slide that through. We'll then secure it using our clip. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe, we are going to be test fitting the 19x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches with the 500 pound weight capacity it's part number C18100. To begin our test fit we are going to slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, slide through our pin and secure it with the clip. In this position we have about 20 3/4 of an inch worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the back of our vehicle is about an 1 3/4 away and overall we've added about 8 3/4 of an inch to the length of the Tahoe. Pulling the silver pin and clip at the base of the rack will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle into its loading position. In this position we have about 22 1/4 of an inch worth of ground clearance. more

Surco Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe we're going to be test fitting the 24" x 60" Surco Cargo Carrier for 2" hitches. With a 500 pound weight capacity, it's part number is 52018. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch, line up our pin holes, slide through our pin and secure it with a clip. In this position our carrier is going to offer us about 22" of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the back of our vehicle is about 3-1/4" away. Overall we've added about 29" to the total length of our Tahoe. When opening the rear hatch it breaks over the plane of our carrier at about the 10" mark. The exhaust on the Tahoe exists the passenger side and it's turned downward. more

Rola Dart Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe we're going to be test-fitting the 23x56 ROLA Dart Cargo Carrier for 2-inch hitches. With a 450-pound weight capacity it's part number 59550. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down with a wrench. We'll then secure it using the provided clip. In this position our carrier offers us about 25.25 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the back of our vehicle is about 3.5 inches away. Overall we've added about 12.75 inches to the length of our Tahoe. Pulling the large red handle on the top of the carrier will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle into its platform or loading position. more

To begin our test we're going to slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pinholes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten it down with a wrench. We'll then secure it using the provided clip. In this position we have about 22-1/4" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the back of our vehicle is about 3-1/2" away and overall we've added about 22-3/4" to the length of the Tahoe. When opening our rear hatch it does break over the plain of our carrier at about the 10-1/2" mark. The exhaust on our Tahoe exits the passenger side and it's turned downward. more

To begin our test fit, we're going to slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down with a wrench. In this position, our carrier offers about 22-1/4 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the back of our Suburban is about 3-1/4 inches away and overall we've added about 9-1/4 inches to the length of our vehicle. Pulling the black pin and clip at the base of the carrier will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle into its loading position. We'll reinsert the pin to hold it in position and go over a few more measurements. Looks like we'll have about 27-1/4 inches of ground clearance here at the back of the rack. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Chevrolet Suburban- Video
Today on our 2013 Chevrolet Suburban. We'll be test fitting the 17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier part number C18145. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch. After lining up the pinholes, we'll thread in our anti rattle bolt and tighten it down using a wrench. When installing, it may take a few tries to get the pinholes to align between the hitch and the carrier. With the carrier secured, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about a 20 and three quarters inches of ground clearance, closest part of the carrier, to the closest part of the vehicle, is about 3 and 3 quarters of an inch away. more
